Aftermarket lifters, pushrods, and retainers are not necessary at this level, but there are certain reliability and performance gains to be had by replacing these items during your cam change. The powerband is strong from 2, to 6, RPM.
With the supportive induction and exhaust mods in place, you should be able to run a 3. Or, you could run a 3. Customers should check all necessary clearances especially if upgrading to aftermarket valve seals. The powerband is strongest from 2, to 6, RPM. With the supportive induction and exhaust mods in place, you should be able to run a 2.
You can also increase your ignition timing advance for even more power. The Stage 3 Blower Cam is still streetable, and works best with a higher stall torque converter. With an M90, you should be able to run a 2. This is the ultimate cam profile for larger or more efficient superchargers such as the MP, twin-screws or centrifugals. The powerband is incredibly strong from 3, to 7, RPM. However all of these upgrades are not always required, they are just a very good combo that works very well together.
The GT1 cam was designed for naturally aspirated applications where emissions and street-ability are important. It will generally not set SES lights. The GT cam uses steep ramp rates and tight base lobes to keep the computer and the sniffer happy while still providing great performance.
This cam does not set the P code and can be installed on a stock all the way to radical. It was designed for the NA L36 but will also work well with nitrous or intercooled boost.
It is the only major L36 grind on the market that does not need a converter or gear changes to see gains. The GT1 can be used on stock heads with stock springs and retainers but upgrade to 90 or s is recommended along with higher shift points. This cam was designed for naturally aspirated applications where maximizing the performance of stock heads is important. It will set the P code unless programmed out of the PCM. Idle is lumpy, especially with headers.
Look for gains of 40 HP depending on your car's current configuration. I give this a 5 star because it really improves my cars performance by 30 hp and a bit of torque I would really recommend it, you will feel a difference in power when launching.
Have had this cam in my car for well over a year, and I love it. A very aggressive sound for a V6! Considering this is my second cam in less then miles after a motor rebuild due to a hydraulic lifter exploded All parts fit as described and woke my car up.
Had to do a security relearn but no instructions could be found on site.
Found the on a forum. Other then that I like it all very much. I just wanted small gains for my daily driven '05 Bonneville SE. The sound from this cam is very good.Forum Rules. What's New? Thread: performance. Results 1 to 14 of Has anyone ever ordered from this website?
There are a lot of people who have used them with mixed reviews. I've personally dealt with the three I listed and all have been pretty good. ZZPerformance tried to rake me over the coals, but I got that situation straightened out. Also, for customer service, intense-racing. I personally have not dealt with performance.
I also tend to buy a lot of used parts I only used them for the casper wiring at a decent price. Originally Posted by TLSheff. Squirrels are my engine.

Not your average grocery getter, but theres always at least two things on the list I ordered springs and a chain from them black friday and after 2 weeks of hearing nothing i called just to get a status update on my order he shipped the order that same day i called and included upgraded parts from what i had actualy ordered.

I have ordered from them and had no issues. I just ordered a pcm from them last week, arrived quick. No issues either. Both noob tuned with HP Tuner. I just wasn't sure if it was a legit website. THey wouldn't leave me a callback number and I never got a shipping confirmation or tracking number but they say my parts have shipped out.
Good luck man He WILL however make sure most, if not all, correspondance with him is by phone, not e-mail. Page 9 of 22 First Last Jump to page: Results to of On the L36 I know it's all right there on the engine. What are we supposed to do with the EVAP system? Only difference is you would need to block off the line that normally goes to the L36 FPR. If you want to switch to the L67 setup, the main difference is that it's mounted on the back of the engine instead of the front. A bit of rerouting, but nothing too difficult. So just plug the left side of the grommet that connects to the TB?
What about the bracket it sits on? I know that's not going to bolt up right? Just leave it flopping around so to speak? I know you can upgrade to an L32 MAP and read boost without having to change the connector.
And the vac line comes from underneath the snout, but I don't see how this thing could really be mounted to work back there. Am I missing something? You need to run the l67 map, it has a bracket for it and it bolts to the supercharger. Originally Posted by beastin1. The fuel pressure regulator needs to see boost in order to operate correctly. For the exhaust, a 3 inch downpipe should be used to get the most out of your swap.Shipping was super fast. Got cam installed and took car for a drive.
Car seems to have way more pop in the higher rpm range. Will find out for sure when the track opens in a few weeks what effect it had on overall performance. Comp cams is always a great product Ran all roller set up in my big block 10 sec Chevelle. The install of the cam itself was easy It was harder to get to the cam then removing the old one and installing the new one.
All seams well just being easy on it for some miles. Sounds good so far. View account. Your Cart. Leave a note with your order. Continue Shopping. Your cart is currently empty. ZZP cams have custom designed lobes to maximize the performance of your engine, ZZP cams make more HP at the same duration and lift than other brands. We hold every record in the market and have done extensive research on ramp rates and cam profiles, more so than any vendor on the planet.
You can know with confidence that these are the very best grinds available in the market. The VS cam is designed for use on totally stock heads and can be used with all stock components up to 6k rpm. It is recommended to upgrade valve springs to increase performance and allow shifting over where peak power is made.
PCM programming recommended. If the engine has less than k miles, then the stock valve springs can work if you keep the shift point at rpm.Help Remember Me?

I have seen people just buy the cam and a set of valve springs, now it is possible to do this but the factory timing chain is not up to the task, when you replace the timing chain you have to delete the balance shaft which involves removing the balance shaft gear and this is totally fine. Upgrading the valve springs is easy but if you go with a large valve spring you will have to have a stronger timing chain like a double roller.
You can reuse your factory lifters or order a set from comp cams. You can order allmost everything you need from our sponsors. It is also wise to upgrade your pushrods since you will be putting more stress on them with a larger cam and stronger timing chain.3800 v6 cam install part 1
Just pm 97rs4life and he can help you with getting all you need for a great price. Abbott can help too but it doesn't hurt dealing with multiple people. Larry: camaro- Ole Blue.
Daily driver. Ok, thank you very much for the info, now one more question, is there a less aggressive cam I can get that will not take much more moding then just putting the cam in or is the prossess you described go with most any cam I would buy? Add me to the Intense S1X list. Potential boost cam specs from 60inclusive and a screen name. If you cant afford to do it right the first time. Can you afford to do it a second time????
